Professor Yasser El Shamy, Dean of the College of Language and Communication at Smart Village Campus, is a distinguished academic and industry leader in design and audiovisual production. With a career spanning decades, he began his academic journey with a degree in Graphic Design from the Faculty of Fine Arts at Alexandria University in 1997, while simultaneously honing his skills in the creative design industry. He earned his master’s degree with a focus on “Web-based Animated Graphics,” addressing the complex challenge of delivering high-quality animations over limited internet bandwidth.
Yasser’s pursuit of academic excellence led him to receive a prestigious scholarship from the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, enabling him to complete his Ph.D. at the Academy of Fine Arts in Frosinone, Italy. His doctoral research on “Establishing Visual Identity for Television Channels through Motion Graphic Design” positioned him as a leading expert in the field. Upon returning to Egypt, Yasser advanced to the rank of professor and transitioned into leadership roles at the Arab Academy, first as Dean of Student Affairs and later as Dean of the College of Language and Communication.
Fredrick Nsibambi

Fredrick Nsibambi is currently the Deputy Executive Director at the Cross-Cultural Foundation of Uganda, a national NGO in Uganda whose mission is to promote an appreciation of culture as vital for human development that responds to our diverse identities. Fredrick has an
extensive experience in diverse areas such as cultural heritage, cultural diversity, indigenous peace mechanisms, culture and climate change, cultural rights, heritage education and culture and gender.
Fredrick possess a Master in Economics and Administration of Cultural Heritage from Catania University, Italy, a Post Graduate Diploma in Museums and Heritage Studies from the university of Cape Town, South Africa, a certificate in Resources for Local Development and Tourism, Katholieke Universite Leuven, Belgium, certificate in leadership by the International National Trusts, UK. Dr. Amira Ehsan
Associate Professor of Visual Communication, Vice Dean for Education & Student Affairs – College of Art and Design – Arab Academy for Science and Technology, Program Validation Lead at Cardiff Metropolitan University, Egypt.
Innovative scholar, educator, and visual artist with a deep-rooted passion for exploring the historical and contemporary dimensions of human artistic expression. My practice and research focus on defamiliarization—reconfiguring the familiar to inspire critical reflection, new perceptions, and meaningful engagement with visual communication.
Graduated from Alexandria University’s Faculty of Fine Arts (BFA, 1999), specializing in Design and Visual Communication, I have been actively involved in Egypt’s contemporary art scene since 1995. My academic journey encompasses a Master’s thesis on enhancing cognitive communication via interactive multimedia and a Ph.D. that redefines visual communication through design elements related to time and motion, with applications in digital media and moving image theory.
As an Associate Professor at the College of Art and Design, I serve as Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, leading program validation efforts—including acting as the team leader for Cardiff Metropolitan University’s program accreditation. I have contributed to strategic initiatives, curriculum development, and securing transnational academic collaborations and accreditation.

Prof. Dr. Agata Gasiorowska

Agata Gasiorowska is a Full Professor of Psychology and a Deputy Director of the Institute of Psychology at SWPS University in Wroclaw, Poland, and President-Elect of the International Association for Research in Economic Psychology. She is affiliated with the Center for Research in Economic Behavior (www.creb.edu.pl). She has undertaken research on the psychology of money and consumer behavior, with a primary interest in money attitudes, financial literacy, and market mentality. She is an author of more than 100 articles published in prestigious journals such as the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, Journal of Experimental Psychology: Applied, the Journal of Experimental Social Psychology, Psychological Science, and Psychological Assessment. She also teaches basic and advanced research methods in psychology, including psychometrics and data analysis.
Prof. Dr. Lorraine Sher

Prof Lorraine Sherr is a Professor of Clinical and Health Psychology and head of the Health Psychology Unit in the department of Global Health at University College London. She has a wide portfolio of research – over 500 academic publications and 44 books (author, editor). Her research focuses on mental health, psychological ramifications of disease and an expertise in Children, women and families. She is the founding editor of three international Journals (AIDSCare, Psychology Health and Medicine; Vulnerable Children and Youth Studies). She acted as co-director on the Adolescent research HUB (with Prof Lucie Cluver and Prof Chris Desmond), Accelerating Achievements for Africa’s adolescents with a particular focus on capacity building and enabling. She has worked on committees and initiatives with many international agencies (including WHO, UNICEF, Save the Children, USAID, PEPFAR, REPSSI, Coalition for Children affected by AIDS, World VIsion, MHPSS, UNAIDS). She was awarded an MBE in the UK Honours list for work with Vulnerable Children and Families.
Prof. Dr. Parveen Ali

Professor Parveen Ali is a Professor of Nursing and Gender Based Violence at the University of Sheffield and Doncaster & Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals, and Editor-in-Chief of the International Nursing Review. Her research focuses on gender-based violence, domestic abuse, health inequalities, and the experiences of marginalised communities. She has published extensively, contributed to global policy initiatives, and delivered keynotes at national and international conferences. Professor Ali is also committed to mentoring early-career researchers and advancing culturally competent approaches in health and social care.

Victor Counted (PhD in Health Psychology, Western Sydney University; PhD in Psychology of Religion, The University of Groningen) is Associate Professor of Psychology and Director of The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs at Regent University. He is also a Faculty Affiliate of the Human Flourishing Program at Harvard University, Associate Editor of the Journal of Positive Psychology, and Book Series Editor of Springer’s Religion, Spirituality, and Health: A Social Scientific Approach. Dr Counted serves as the executive board member for the International Association for the Psychology of Religion (IAPR) and the founding member of the Society for the Psychology of Religion in Australia and New Zealand (SPRANZ).
